dog poop

omg! i went to wake sandy up this morning, and there was dog poop outside her door! at least im hoping it's dog poop and not human poop, cuz then it'll be really disgusting. i swear, even my bunny is better toilet trained than the landlord and landlady's dalmatian. it's such a cute dog i swear, but its disgusting how they don't know the basics to owning a dog. no wonder their dogs always die. plus they feed it cooked salty food. this one's going to die soon too.

anyways, it's 3 days to home! also 3 more days of studying for my last exam. my extremely awesome mommy managed to bring my flight forward to the night of the 21st. so lucky me will reach singapore in the morning on the 22nd! YAY! i hate how i have a break between my exams tho, theres so much to study but im in no mood to. sigh.

exam + muggeristic mode

finally completed all my assignments. i hope they go ok....im kinda thinking i might not have done my references properly for accounting. and i calculated that i need to get like close to full marks for my computer assignment to pull my grades up to a 7. *sigh*

going to have a week of study break, 2 weeks of exams... and then its HOME SWEET HOME. i have 4 papers which are spread out pretty well. and the lecturers here seriously hint like nobody's business but the people here still do like shit. maybe its cuz no one turns up for classes.

and the weather's really getting to me. i think i need at least 12 hours of hibernation a day.

lessons learnt.

Life away from home, and life in uni, has taught me many things.

1. it is SO important to pick good group members.
2. when all else fails, u can only depend on yourself.
3. revenge is sweet...sometimes.
4. be bitchy to those who are bitchy to you.

I've completed my management presentation and accounting assignment. finally. i have my computer assignment left....two down, one to go. and when that's done, i need to start mugging for my finals.

management presentation was fantastic =) we got our grades immediately after we finished. the tutor was pretty impressed and we got our 7. i had an awesome partner...i hope i meet her again in another class so i can work with her again.

we got back our results for our third econs quiz. the most RIDICULOUS thing. it's a 15 question MCQ, upon 15 marks, which contributes 15% to our total grade. straightforward enough? i got a 14.5. how on bloody earth, did i get HALF an MCQ question wrong?! and it's destroyed my streak of perfect grades. *pouts*

i really need to thank sandy for helping me vet my leaflet for accounting. she's got a seriously good eye for detail...and i swear shes helped me more than some of my group members have. those ungrateful people.

i'm going to work on my computer assignment. hopefully i'll live through all these. sigh.

sunshine coast

lester's touring aussie for the next few weeks, with xueqi and his friend zhao hong. and i managed to meet him for a day yesterday before he flew off to sydney today. ok basically we had to meet cuz he needed to pass me my tweety comforter and i needed to pass him the camera. so there probably wont be any pictures soon since i have no camera...and i'm supposed to be busy completing my assignments and studying for my finals. sigh.

anyways, i look a look at the apartment he was staying at in st lucia with a friend. it was really pretty awesomeee. they had really nice carpeted flooring that's super mao mao (毛毛). unlike my ugly kind of carpeted flooring. and then we left for glass house mountain. it was quite a disappointment because they didnt manage to see as nice a view as they imagined. just because it was more of a hiking place rather than a tourist attraction. plus they didnt manage to find their macadamia nut farm. hahaha.

after that we made our way down to the surfer's paradise of sunshine coast... which was wayy up north. basically it's just the beach. but it was really nice to walk barefooted in the sand and watch the waves. it was such a nice calm soothing thing to do. and the beach was really quite devoid of people..until later in the afternoon when the people started surfing and walking their dogs. i love that place. i wish i stayed next to the beach....the aussie kind of beach, not the singapore kind. loved it. had so much fun playing with the waves and getting my jeans all wet.

after which we made our way back to their st lucia place. and OMG lester's friend managed to smuggle BA KUA into aussie. i had a small slice and it was awesome. had a walk around brisbane city where they visited all the souvenir shops. and we went for pancakes at pancake manor. then lester drove me home and came up to take a look at my old quaint room, before driving back. my brother can really be a pretty awesome guy.

anyways my comforter smells abit musty... from being kept in the cupboard for too long. but i dont feel like washing it cuz it smells like home. sigh. i miss it all.

oh the HORRORS!!!!!

omg, i have just witnessed something very disturbing. i was in the kitchen with minji, making an afternoon snack when the landlady came in. shes going to cook fried rice tonight...and she was cooking rice. you know how normal people like us, wash the rice before we cook it.

she cooked the rice in a pot...and then she SOAKED the COOKED rice....in cold water....before draining it.

it somehow is more dramatic and disturbing when u SEE IT. now we all know why her rice is so chunky and gross, we have to eat it with a fork. im seriously starting to get worried for my life. i'm going to die of poisoning one day. *faints*

anyways, on the brighter side of things. i've started to breathe a little easier about my assignments. but i still have shitloads to do.

tongalingalong: hahah optus may be under singtel, but u still need to know that we're in a backward-ish, lazy country, aka australia. and this just means that you should come to aussie to reunite with the both of us!!!!! hahahahahah.
